Indianapolis-based Demandwell, a search-engine-optimization company that launched in 2019, has landed $5 million in seed funding that will enable the company to grow and hire more people. Demandwell has 17 employees, with another four people expected to start jobs at the company within the next few weeks. Of those 21, 17 live in the Indianapolis area and the others live out of state. The omni-channel turnaround at retailer Lands End continues to impress with the firm turning in Q2 revenue of $384.1 million, up 23.1% year-on-year, and net income of $16. 2 million, against $4.4 million for the same period last year.
